Minutes, not evenings
Upload the PDF, review what’s flagged, download the file. That’s the whole job.
Checked, not guessed
Every export is reconciled against the statement’s own printed balances first.
Nothing held hostage
No account, no card, no “first 10 rows free”. Convert, check, download, delete.
Three steps. No retyping.
Upload the PDF
A digital bank-statement PDF, straight from the bank or from your client.
Review beside the source
Extracted rows sit next to the statement page they came from. Anything doubtful is flagged in plain language, never silently guessed.
Export and move on
Excel or CSV, plus QuickBooks, Xero and Sage-ready files. Checks re-run after every edit.
One slipped digit can cost you £4,213.89.
On our sample statement, an HMRC VAT payment reads £4,682.10, and gets extracted as £468.21. A plain converter ships that straight into your spreadsheet. StatementStudio reconciles every statement against its own printed balances, flags the row, and holds the export until it’s right.
Every format your books speak.

Common questions
What statements are supported?
Bank-account statements as digital (not scanned) PDFs, up to 10 MiB and 20 pages, one statement at a time. Scanned/image-only, mixed, password-protected, and credit-card PDFs are not supported.
Can it read scanned PDFs or photos?
Not yet. StatementStudio currently reads digital bank-statement PDFs. If your PDF is a scan, we’ll tell you rather than guess. Direct photos of a statement aren’t supported, only PDF files.
Do I need an account?
No. There is no sign-up, email capture, or payment before conversion, review, or export.
What formats can I download?
Excel (XLSX) and CSV are the primary exports, with documented columns and a validation summary. QuickBooks CSV, Xero CSV, Sage CSV, OFX, and QIF files are also available as export formats.
What happens to my file?
It stays private to your session, and you can delete the job the moment you are done. When you delete a job, its uploaded file, source preview, and exports are removed and cannot be recovered.
What does the balance check do?
It compares the extracted transaction amounts with the opening, closing, and running balances shown on the statement, where available. It is one strong consistency check, not proof that every field is correct.
